Price of Life

Drowning in academic seas,
Damaging graded breeze,
All for the cost of life,
For future jobs and strife.
Life ain't easy,
But no one told me,
It was the deepest sea
Falling for love's arrow,
To sacrifice my bone and marrow,
All for the tax of life,
To live and to die.
Time is spilling,
For the bills of today,
And without the money,
I can't get away.
Life ain't fun
But no one said,
It's living buried dead.
Parental advisories confining spaces,
Great expectations lining these laces,
All for sake of time,
To make a nickel dime.
They say that time and love,
Can ease this pain,
But this grief falls above,
To choke and restrain.
Slowly killing,
Is this cost of life,
And without the change,
I can't seem to get away.
Life's a sacrifice,
But no one took the time,
To pay the living price.
