I DANCE

Contributed by Rous on Monday, 22nd March 2004 @ 09:44:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I dance on the brink that leads to the edge of euphoria
The edge of insanity that borders on genius.
The border of intuition that parallels creativity
The road of madness that walks beside salvation
The walk that all men must make
If alone, it is a walk of madness
If alone, how do I judge my progress?
If alone, where do I begin and end?
The journey seems to be harsh and judgmental
Do I have the strength to walk it alone?
Dare I ask another to share the journey?
If I do, can I trust you?
If I ask you to help me, carry me and love me,
Will you always be there?
The choices I make are forever
I cannot go back and change the mistakes
Will you forgive them?
The hallway I travel is dark and narrow
I see the demons of my past around me
They reach out to remind me of those very things
I try to forget
As I traverse the hallway,
The darkness closes in
There is a light ahead
As I reach out to the end of my journey,
I realize that as always
There is someone to catch me as I
Dance on the edge
The euphoria is false
I know that I have only one chance
Faith
Faith that there is SOMEONE to trust
SOMEONE to help me
SOMEONE to carry me
SOMEONE to love me
SOMEONE to forgive
SOMEONE to lead me from my
Dance on the edge that leads to madness
And guide me to the tranquility of eternity.
