I Wait For Thee

I wait for thee beneath the willow tree.
Within the shadow of the tree.
Soft, lush spring weeps for us.
Lost within my own twisted escape.
Against thy will thou art trapped within.
Thou art trapped within.
Raindrops fall upon the dew-covered grass.
I watch as they collect and glisten.
I see thy face within.
I see the shapeless form and natural grace.
The days of my youth have faded away.
My beauty has diminished.
Fleeting are the years like wind in the meadow.
All has faded away into shadow.
The voice of the marytrs was never heard.
So soft and faint.
Here I shall remain until the end of my days.
