an indescribable urge
a terrible desire
to make a cut
that burns like fire
a sickening sensation
a trembling hand
a fearful tear
a cry for help
that no one can hear
a whimper of pain
as the red river flows
down my arm
to spill on my toes
an empty soul
with nowhere to turn
no one to understand
no one willing to learn
shameful thoughts
as i do it again
all i need now is one true friend.
