Pulling Flower Petals

Contributed by makx10 on Wednesday, 18th September 2002 @ 04:20:35 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

When I awake at the start of each day.
I think of the one who has shown me the way.
He has revived me and has made me strong.
We are a perfect match and so well we get along.
Too many days go by that him I do not see.
So many times that I have heard that he loves me.
Yet I still care about another man.
How selfish and hurtful that I am.
To love two men is wrong in my book.
Especially when one is home with a look.
A look of sadness, of missing me dear.
When thinking of losing him I am filled with fear.
I do love him dearly but at the same time.
I look at the other and wish he was mine.
How do I stop this feeling of lust?
Stop feeling? Is it possible? Not sure, but a must.
Forget all the time we spent together?
The laughing, the flirting, all the times he made me feel better?
I can't forget. I won't forget. Why should I have to?
Forgetting won't solve a thing, won't make love come true.
I must let the time go by.
And then realize which is the right guy.
The answer in some ways I already do know.
I love him, I love him not, I love him.
Every time I am with him, my feelings for the other grow dim.
It is true and has always been.
I really do love only him.

Change the hims to hers and I could use it as my own poem. I understand exactly where this is coming from. May you find your way...
