Tormented Soul

Contributed by silent on Monday, 22nd March 2004 @ 11:08:26 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I have captured the most beautiful lady, one has ever seen
Saved if you will, from the depths of despair
Even just sitting here, I can see her youthful innocence
It’s an eternal image burned so deep, within my very essence

Blue eyes of such wonderment
Dark brown hair, beautifully draped around petite shoulders
Her smile so pure and childlike
Enveloping ones mind, she is for me, perfect

Taking my hand, drifting away from the darkness and hate
Looking back from outside the shadows
My time is served, but I still reside, unable to leave

She is so free spirited and happy, so full of life
From within I smile, more radiant than our life giving star
Yet outside I keep hidden, cannot let others see, never the real me

She can sense my pain, like a songbird without a voice
All I want to see is her happiness, dance my princess, never stop

Remaining awake, trapped under a smothering cloud of darkness
Never escaping, my mind is under lock and key, sing my angel, never stop

She loves me so much and I do her, words cannot convey the torment I feel

A single tear all I can shed, writing, sitting here, thinking of her……..

This is a great poem from a hurt soul. Keep it up, because your poems are really straight from the heart.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
