Nature A Beautiful Thing*

Contributed by Glo on Monday, 22nd March 2004 @ 09:04:42 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Today I stopped and took notice of all the beauty I've seen.......
Sunlight glistening on the lake, ripples on the water,
A single leaf floating caught my eye.
The sweet pungent fragrance of the Magnolia Tree blossoms in the air..................
As a gentle breeze floats by.

A Humming Bird wings flutters as he gracefully floats from flower to flower.
I coud lie here on the soft Green Grass, and watch him sip for hours.

Little did I realize, I was about to be awakened by a most Gentle Springtime Shower.
A Bunny Rabbit went hopping by, trying to get out of the Rain,
Two Robins flew gently by......trying to do the same.

The colorful Tulips in the park, their petals opened wide........
Quenching their thirst from the gentle shower,
Standing tall under the clear blue skies.

I walk across the field and notice lots of Tiny Frogs jumping all around,
As if to be rejoicing at all the droplets falling down.

A lovely Monarch Butterfly hides under a Ginko Leaf...........
Trying to get out of the rain,
Sipping the moisture from the Leaf........
As he patiently waits for the Sun to shine again.
Someday I'll write a poem of all the lovely things I've seen.
To share with the world my treasures of Nature.......A Beautiful Thing!"

Take Time to Enjoy!

Interesting use of "Stream of consciousness".
