The ivory tower shone with its gleaming spire
Full of beauty she stopped for a while to admire
It beckoned her through the iron mammoth gate
Her confused mind in a physiological state
She felt invisible removed from her life
Detached from feelings of constant strife
Would anyone notice her in the grounds
Purring her voice making vibrant sounds
The door reverberated with the knock of doom
A beautiful lady so pure she presumed
Her vision of purity and innocence beamed
Much brighter than her ivory tower redeemed
Walking in her tower she stepped back in time
So many books on art, literary gems none crime
How could she destroy her illusions so pure
Where goodness was rewarded by right de jure
How do you explain colours to someone who's blind
To explain the evil in the world to an angel so kind
She knew the truth of others the lies and the deceit
The hatred and evil in people she had to be discreet
Her visits were often knowing one day it would end
A thoughtless act a harrowing effect about to transcend
The newspaper lay open no longer hidden from sight
Tears flowed a tragic mockery of her halo so bright
It bestowed bad news of death, pain and hate -
Told her of failed hopes and increasing crime rate
An Angels heart empty had left a gaping whole
The bearer of bad news the tormentor of her soul
The angel held her although her own pain was deep
Spread the word of love not hate please do not weep
The angel aged in moments, sad memory in her journal
She had destroyed something beautiful pure and eternal
Love Angelxxx

A masterpiece!
This stanza was incredible---
"How do you explain colours to someone who's blind
To explain the evil in the world to an angel so kind
She knew the truth of others the lies and the deceit
The hatred and evil in people she had to be discreet"
This poem was unique and excellent. I commend you.
