I Know It's Spring When........*

Contributed by Glo on Monday, 22nd March 2004 @ 07:35:48 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

When you awaken to Natures Alarm.......
Sounds of birds singing so sweet,
The fresh clean air with the help of the morning dew.
The beautiful Daffodils welcoming Spring anew.

I see Squirrels bustling all around gathering leaves and twigs.......
To make homes for their new babies, every Spring, that's what they do.

The Hyacinths are sure to bring a smile.
With their lovely colors and aromatic fragrance, that one can smell for miles.
The Wisteria Tree such a lovely sight,
With it's tiny Purple Bells.
Another one of Natures Treasures with an intoxicating smell.
When there's a breeze, the scent from this tree will all but sweep you off your feet.
Just one of Springs fragrant treats.....so delicate and sweet.

The Bright Yellow Efflorescence of the Forsythia in bloom,
Such a beautiful and welcome sight.
A color that's so vivid and bright,
It could light up the darkest night.

Let's not forget the Butterfly,
As it flutters along on the wind.
In search of Sweet Nectar, as his day begins.
The croaking of the Toads one can hear from near by ponds,
Singing in unison, with it's highs and lows into the early dawn.

The breath taking beauty of a Doe and her new Fawn,
Gives me hope that year after year that Nature will carry on.
It's been given to us from the Heavenly Father above,
To marvel at and appreciate each Season with understanding and love.

Happy Spring!
