Giving thought to where life leads,
with regard to where i've been.
Mentally reaping the harvests
of my sown seeds.
Every now and then.
Gaining insight from each harvest.
That grew from seeds that I had sown.
As to things past that held my interest.
Some of which I had hardly known.
Till the reapings revalation.
Some bumper crops, some fallow fields.
Making clear what inclinations,
to which my interests yields.
I am not old man remorsing.
what, or when, who, or how.
Most certainly, I am not endorsing.
When one should stand, or take a bow.
Such things as this,
you'd know best
If you are master of your fate.
Captain of your soul if blessed.
And of a mind to contemplate.
All those things that bear reflection.
The who's, the what's the when's the how's.
Then set a course in what directions,
the winds of fate allows.

A fine reflection, extrapolated from a fine metaphor.
Well done. |

The ending was perfection especially---
"Then set a course in what directions,
the winds of fate allows."
I firmly believe that fate is a meddler, like a prankster and likes blowing us off course.
Loved this poem.... Kie
