Cobble stones glisen with the morning dew
Ole Rose's Clip Clop is heard in the distance
The gentle rattling of the Milk Mans Wagon
Its early morn
No ones awake except the Miners changing shift in this old Mining town
A old man glances and checks his watch
"Yup right on time ,always the same"
Turns up his Coal Lantern and pours his thermos full
Then wraps up his lunch of Sauage and Dill
The cold nights air has borthered him not .
He's saddled Ole Rose and she ready to trot
Deliver the milk to those in town.
Slowly she carries his delivery ,willinglyl
Pulling her load faithfully and quietly.
He's a good master, so she don't really mind pulling the cart.
Always at the end , awaits ,a warm stable and some oats.
Then he leaves her to roam .
Her duties for the day all done.
