I met you at my retreat
You made a comment
About me
As we sat down to eat
I caught your eye
As you caught mine
My friend refers to you as Sum41 guy
Wonder why?
I liked you a lot
But I think when you found out
How old I am
I lost my shot
Right then
It hurt me to find out
Age mattered so much
When I've dated guys
His age and such
Then our poems brought
Us together again
From them you can
Find out what's been
We wanted to freestyle
If only for a little while
You freestyled about me
And I found out what you thought
Now your feelings
I can see
So a new lesson has been taught
The pen is mightier than the sword
So always remember to use your words
