Lifepoems

As I walk down the street,
Mid New York, all the heat
Slams into my face
Along with half the human race.
I try to avoid.
Maybe I’m just paranoid,
But it seems that the world
Follows like a herd.
You always do
Just what’s expected from you.
You never surprise,
You see the world through everyone else’s eyes.
We all fit neatly into
Folds of others. I am you
And your are me
Just with different bodies, can’t you see?
We resemble those jigsaws
Creating unwritten laws.
I think that people need to get a clue
For sadly so, it seems it is true
That when people are free to do as they please
They usually imitate each other, like particles in the breeze.
