The Butterfly/ Two Poems in One
The butterfly spreads its wings
and catches the wind
in its
heart.
In your wings
you have
caught
my
heart.
The lullaby of a mother
caresses the child’s
soul
and gently
nourishes it.
Your touch
transforms me
into light and
takes me to places
unknown.
Caught in the wing
of a butterfly
I open my heart
to
you.
You read me like
a book,
you devour my
every thought and
emotion.
My love pours out of me
and fills your
soul
with milk and
honey.
I feed on your
radiance,
your smile
and your body.
You smile
at me
and the world
goes round like
a top.
