Staring at her I long...
Her ayes full of crescent hope; to me...
Hiding in the shadows I kept staring at her...
Running from the pain...
Running from the joy...
Minding her sight...
Probing my patience...
Testing my courage.
Fantasizing in her I remain...
Thinking about her every-curve...
Her gracious steps down the hall...
Ha ha.
She drives crazy.
Like she would expect.
See me...
I see you.

ha ha ha, this reminds me all too well of about half the poems I've written. I love this subject of poetry, it's my absolute favorite. Mostly because I've lived it, but also because it's so.... ironic? bittersweet? I don't know, it's just..... well, you spend all your time pouring out your heart to silence. They'll never know what's going on inside.
You did an excellent job of capuring the feeling.
Hoping everything works out for you OK.
God bless,
Ellen |
