World in his Eyes

When he strolled by me
He casually glanced my way
Our eyes met for a second
A second in which my heart stopped
The world didn't matter
He was so beautiful
He was everything I need
There was no pain
No anger, no sadness
No cutting, no crying
Just blank bliss
Ignorant tension
Then he broke away
He kept on walking
As if in slow motion
But my legs would not move
I could still see him in my mind
I didn't want to lose the image
I look back, he's looking too
I smile, but he doesn't
