I am Sin

Contributed by unprettyxsongbird on Sunday, 21st March 2004 @ 12:27:07 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I stare into the mirror of my sin

Blocking out the dark shapes shifting behind me

In all my lethargy this still has to be done

If only I could wipe out the mistakes

Life could have been so different

The girl looking back at me from the glass

Is red and tainted, against a backdrop of flames

I wish she would die, I have to kill her

She did this to me, she did it

I fall sobbing to the ground

What am I saying? I want to kill my past?

It’s all said and gone now, which is worse

Because I am unforgivable

I raise a shaking fist and with all my remaining strength

Pummel the mirror, tearing my flesh

And it shatters into 1000 pieces before me

The girl has gone now, but to where?

I look down at my hands, knuckles bleeding

And I realise, that no matter how hard I try

I will always be that girl

Hey, we all feel like that sometimes and u should not blame yourself for that. When u look into that mirror, u should see that the person on the other side loves you on the inside and out. I wan't u to know that this life may be hard, but we have to live it until we go and be with god. If u need to talk to
me, my email address is: Nicole88622003@yahoo.com. Your poem was well
written.-luckycharm.
