All IN A DAY

DreamsandWishes

It was the sweetest dawn of the year.,
The beauty of ring sun stole my heart.
And with a twinkle of eye,
The singing crow outside of my window
Turned into an angel.
The angel looked at me,
Straight into my eyes,
And flapping his wings,
Breaking the silence,
He declared-
"Foolish man,tell me your wish.
I will fulfill your dream,
But only one and no more".
I was puzzled,
Dumbfounded by the flow of incident,
Silence was my thought,
And silence it remained.
I could not decide,
What would i wish for?
Should i wish for love?
The sweet love that i longed for so long?
Or a wish for wealth?
Or something for my country?
or... or... or...
Silence was my thought
And silence it remained.
The angel coughed-
" quickly, quickly, it is your lucky day."
At last i stopped.
I came to a decision.
I opened my mouth.
But-
Like a thunderbolt from the blue,
Like a breaking of a dream,
I heard a gunshot.
I looked at the angel.
He was dead, damn dead.
How foolish the angel was!
How foolish the angels are!
He came to turn my dream into reality,
But he did not know how to live.
It was my lucky day.
and it remained my lucky day.

Oh my! How could they kill the angel?!!?!! What an original poem. Can't understand why it remained your lucky day except maybe that you wrote it in a sarcastic way. Really enjoyed reading it!
