Mike

Thirty years ago this March
My life was forever changed
On that day God in His wisdom
Gave me charge of a son

He was not to be just my son
But a son of God to be cherished
And so I have all these years
And will forever

Today marks thirty years
Since you changed my life
Over night you made me grow up
Face life as it is

I wish I could find words
To tell you how precious you are to my soul
How each day of being your father
Has been and is a privilege and honor

Yes you have stumbled along the way
Just as I have as your father
And we will continue to stumble
As life is a hard road to travel

But as we travel one thing above all binds us
Our constant love
A love that allows us to believe
Gives us hope for each new day

We will look at the past no longer
But ahead to a future built solely upon
A love formed unconditional by Gods own hand
The love a father and a son was meant to share

Dad

I have two sons, one 34 and one 32 and they actually gave my life true meaning. I think being a parent is the most rewarding role you can play in life. Yes, it does have bumps but everyday for the rest of your life you have that unconditional love you never knew before. Beautiful birthday words.

Rita
