Gone

Topic: Suicide

_______________________________
Nobody would remember me five minutes
After I was gone
So why stick around for last call
Why choke on all this misery
Call it emotional pain and suffering
For art, yes well that’s a joke
And I tinker with the sharp edges
My finger bleeds on the pages
And I wonder how long it would take
To fall asleep forever
How deep and peaceful it might be
To be unfeeling for eternity
Left alone
Alone
To sleep in peace
Nobody would remember me five minutes
After I was gone
Red ink, hearts and flowers
What is love anyway?
I don’t know
Maybe that is why I feel this way
So very very cold
As if I am not here at all
An empty shell
Already gone
Slipped away unnoticed
Unmarked grave
Nobody would remember me five minutes
After I was gone

I, for one, will remember you till the day I die.
You give yourself too little credit my dear friend. You've touched my life with your heart, and my heart with your life. Don't you ever forget it ;o)

Roses at your feet for just being you
Larry

You really expressed lots of angst in this poem. Its very well written. I hope the authors note is true, i.e. not to worry I'm sure ppl would remember you for longer than 5 mins. Great write!

Nice, expressive and much understood poem...by me anyway....any more room in the pity party?..oh well..no matter I am throwing my own soon enough...great write though...you do not seem to need self pity for such talent...but I do not know your troubles...pity away...fellow pitier.
