I Would Help IF I Could

Contributed by norm on Saturday, 20th March 2004 @ 09:10:45 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

If your mind is dark and muddy,
Now's the time you need a buddy,
I would surely volunteer,
But my wife said, "You stay clear!"

If you're weak and need infusion,
I'd disspell a gray confusion,
I would surely help you out,
But my wife said, "No, You lout!"

If your pulse is slowly ticking,
I would help you stop your kicking,
I would give you my pink horse,
But my wife said, "It's divorce!"

If you need a wake up kiss,
I would surely help in this,
Rub your belly like a cat,
But my wife said, "None of that!"

You can see I have a limit,
Out the lights or even dim it,
She'd be on me like a tarp,
I must be careful or the harp.

Thanks a lot for invitation,
My wife soon starts vacation,
What I hate to tell you most,
She chains me to a post.

I'm trying to catch up
since I've been away
Norm, I think you've
lost your mind,
and that's all I've got
to say.
