Drowning Nightmares

Contributed by pompous on Friday, 19th March 2004 @ 08:41:12 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

maybe it was an imagination
or just another nigthmare
a simple justification
but I wouldn't care

it was too late
the night was upon me
the dreams of hate
stood above flying freely

I wake up drowning
right there in the sea
everywhere there's lightning
Im holding onto me

the day isn't dark but red
the storm raises its voice
its wishing that I was dead
but dying isn't my choice

the waves climb so high
I struggle to keep above the surface
the water touches the sky
this dream is a horrific mess

I look beyond the storm
and see the sun shine
keeping the place so warm
if I can get there, its mine

the storm is too fierce
I can't make it through
Im crying dying tears
Im losing my point of view

one more terrifying wave
it knows it has me
I drown to my watery grave
falling to the bottom of the sea
