Tragic Endings

Contributed by xBeautyForAshesx on Thursday, 18th March 2004 @ 11:54:19 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

fallen words spilling from your lips,
a ghastly quote said,
with every kiss the same realization,
that your mouth quit, dead.
stop denying the feelings behind the glass,
never forget who defeats in the fight,
powerful tongues excreet a foreign language,
most of which are dark as night.
constantly the waves crashing through your teeth,
come out and drown me,
filling my nose and mouth with no remorse.
i lay deathly awake just to see.
just to see the despised look on your face,
when i dont respond.
when i stare straight ahead with quiet delight,
because of this shattered bond.
no longer will your shouts fill my tender ears,
while i stand afront, scared.
i have finally reached my destined fate,
and it is now you actually care.
i am fallen, i am truly gone.
instead of your words swallowing me whole,
it is death that consumes me now

To be honest, it took my a little while to fully understand your poem,(yah yah I know I'm dumb!^_^) but the more I read it the more I like it....... Is someone close to you putting you down with cruel words? You know, you should not have to take all that into your heart, I don't know what exactly is going on, but no-one could please everybody, so whatever it is, as long as you know you done nothing wrong, you shouldn't worry about it, but smile bravely back at them....

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
