Little Boy Lost

Topic: SadPoetry

Body sore
bruised and blue
you tortured me to satisfy you
the rage you had
you took out on me
it doesnt matter what you had to do
you did it to set your rage free
and free it did go
but it wasnt long before..
you took out your belt
and hit me once more
you told me to keep silent
and the harder I cried
the harder you hit
you'd push and punch
on me you'd spit
at times you'd pick me up
where I could barely stand
you'd lay me down in bed
and when grandma...
would ask you were I am
you told her I was asleep
you'd tell her not to worry
as I lay there trembling
with your last words in mind
"You'll be sorry kid...You'll be sorry"
The next day..
when she saw me black and blue
she asked me what had happend
and I glanced over to you
you were sitting at the kitchen table
and then you'd jump up and say
"Dont worry mum...
thats just what kids do...
you see it everyday...
You know boys are rough...
they play their cowboys and indians...
and their games of truth or dare"
then you'd scruff up my hair
Asking "Aint that right boy ?!"
finding it hard to answer
I finally agreed,replying "Yeah"
When dad would call from over east
and ask to speak to me
you'd get on the other phone
just to see
if I'd tell him what you did to me
but I never did tell my father
all the times he did ring
little did you know I wouldnt of
even if I knew you weren't listening
Sometimes your anger
over your ex wife
would of driven you
to nearly take my life
sometimes I'd wake in hospital
to see you there by my side
acting in front of grandma
concealing all your lies
Even as a kid..
I could see straight through your eyes
sitting there with fake tears
talking like you actually cared
you knew I was a fighter
and that I wasnt going anywhere
maybe thats why you did what you did
but I dont really know..
how you can justify
doing that to a 9 year old kid
I dont know how the doctors and nurses
couldnt see past what had really happend
they just dismissed it for "childs play"
I heard the Dr say "it's a common image"
"Bruised up kids and grazes"
its hard to believe you all thought
that playing with my friends..
would cause this much damage
Marks,some so narrow and long
some so red and thick
and yet none of you's stopped to think
that with you
he played tricks
feelings of doubt my family all did hide
you all thought he was a great man
and that in his care
I was fine
but nobody was aware
that I was dying inside
You were a man dealing with alot of pain
but I never thought that reason enough
to hit me like you did
you hit me till you were exhausted
till your arms were drained
drained of their power
during my darkest hours
A lifestyle
A pattern
is what it become
and no matter how much I tried
the hatred and the anger in you
overcome
my cries for help...

Very well written, supremely heart wrenching.

...You've got me gripped by this tragedy... I can see some flashes of my childhood in this piece... Very well written... I, too, hope it's not about you...

Happier Dayz,

Oh My. This is very sad. I hope you can over come him and get help. I think people like that need to be put away. I think maybe someone should beat on them see how it feels
