In a dark corner
Of a room filled with heroes
You have buried it
In a dark corner
Of your merry mind
You have put it away
In a dark corner
On the bottom of your bottle
You have drowned it
What you have always known
You have grown up now
The moon whitens your sunkissed skin
And GI Joe does not protect you anymore
Your bright baritone swells to
A yearning soprano that will feed the organ pipes
In our Black Cathedral
Your forgotten promise is drained
From merciful oblivion
Sparkling, wonderful like dancing fireflies
When destiny is unleashed
Prepare
Throw off your childish cover
Of your long gone youth
Prepare
Tear away the transient veil
Of your ancient soul
Prepare
Wash away the liquor shelter
Of your hidden treasure
At last
Sweet beloved
Clad in the moonlight
We will dance
With the stars in our eyes
Sweet beloved
Clad in black
We will bond
In blood

Clad in the shadow of the past

That of the future
