Northern Lights

Contributed by AppleScruffs on Thursday, 18th March 2004 @ 03:47:49 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Our car guided us over narrow streets
of the harbour town as we searched
for our destination.
The roads were dark and our one headlight
gave a suspensful glow
as our anticipation grew
with every corner that was taken.
We were chasing images of light
dancing in the sky like fireworks
on a Fourth of July night.
The soundtrack of our lives
played softly in the background as we conversed
about the change that was to arrive and
solidified a companionship
that had been built over the years.
We were chasing the Aurora Borealis
and although we may not have seen it
we found magic carried in on the wind
which echoed through our souls.
So maybe we did find the Northern Lights that night
because I can see it
every time I look into your eyes.

very nice poem, personal and has a nice flow to it. Guess there's a little magic everywhere, in the skies, in that look. Keep up the good work.
