If You're Gone

Contributed by MoonlitAngel on Monday, 16th September 2002 @ 01:34:17 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

If you saw me, you'd see a girl
Who feels so lost in this crazy life of hers
Yes I have you, but I'm lonely
I miss having romantic love in my life

Strong arms to hold me oh so tight
I miss just gazing into that someone's eyes
Walking nowhere, lost in a daze
And kisses...I miss having someone to kiss

I see you try to understand
But you don't know what it's like to feel this way
And now you're back with who you need
The person your heart always chose over me

Even you're starting to scare me
I don't ever want to not love you this much
But the way I feel reminds me
That a need this deep can eat away at you

It all feels too familiar
I'm sure I love and need you more, you're my world
I'm panicking, I can't be here
Right where I was with her, she who choked my soul

I thought I found forever love
I kept looking past all the pain he caused me
But he fell out of love with me
I think I went numb from being hurt by him

That special kiss has come and gone
When will it not be a crime for me to love?
Will I ever find somebody
Who won't break my heart and reduce me to tears?

I keep feeling less like myself
I think she's falling farther away from me
I can't catch her - help me catch her
Please, if I'm not me, who can I ever be?

All the lights are fading to black
Don't tell me this show is over, it can't be
I can't call your name if you're gone
Please, always be there, will you choose to be there?

With all this sadness in my life
God, I think I feel my heart breaking in two
All this pain hurts more than you know
So you can't tell me I shouldn't be so sad

Different circumstances, Same emotions. I've been there too.

Damara, no matter what, you know I will always be here for you. You think I don't understand, but I do. I have been where you are now. You've seen me go through a stage like yours. I never truly chose him over you. I need you more then I will ever need anyone else in my life. Loves comes and goes, and you will find that forever love you miss so dearly. Don't worry, it'll come right at that moment when you need it the most, and it'll come right outta nowhere. No, it's not a crime for you to love, you silly bum. It's not a crime for anyone to love, as long as it's true. You will find your someone, but, the tears shed for a loved one, are the only tears that are worthy enough to run down your face. The lights can't be fading, you're the light amidst the darkness, remember? The show is never over. It can't be. You're the drama student, you know that. Right? : ) And yes, Dee, I know what it feels like. I know how overbearing the pain can feel. But, you have to go on. Find love in the people around you. I will always be here for you, no matter what. I love you. Never forget it. Always and forever.

~Emily
