____________________
pact mentality takes over
we wheeze in the cold air
running faster and faster
knowing our prey
tongues lolling
between our wicked teeth
smelling your fear
and that last bit of anger
so useless against us
we pounce on you
so frail and small
not much of a meal really
nothing at all
but the sport was
exhilarating
we wag our tails
exuberantly
trying to catch our breath
sounds like laughter
we have no intention
of eating you alive
you can't even look at us
afraid of our ridicule
more cruel than our bite

I have felt like that before. People can be very cruel. This gave me food for thought. Thank you for sharing it. Kie |
