How Do I Feel

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

How do I feel?
Is all you ever say
But do you really want to know
What it’s like to be this way?
To put into words is so hard to do
To try to even explain it to you
To wake up in the morning
Like it’s a regular day
Oh how I wish it were this way.
The simplest task that I struggle to do
Is so easily taken advantage of by someone like you
To deal with the pain I have each day
I seem to be a burden and always in your way.

How do I feel you continue to ask?
How do I feel and how long will this last?
The questions and drills are exhausting each day
They don’t help the pain fade or go away.
Weaker my body each day may get
But still you don’t understand me yet
How can I explain to you the pain that I feel
Its unimaginable, its so unreal.
Take your heart and break it in two
Still my pain is too much for you.

How do I feel yet again you ask?
To try to explain
This is a hard task
Try to imagine your most difficult pain
Now multiply that by 1000 again and again
You’re still not close to how I feel
I am telling you its just unreal
To give up is so easy to do
But this would only satisfy you
I must go on and deal with the pain
I must continue, I have so much more to gain.

How do I feel?
Don’t ask me again
For no matter what I tell you
In your eyes I’ll never win
I hurt inside and out
That’s all I have to say
I hurt in every way
Each and everyday
My pain is too intense
For you to comprehend
But rest assure of one thing
My life soon won’t end!
