Here take my brush,
Paint the color of my eye's blue.
I've come to realize brown just won't do.
Carefully draw my lips with curves of plump passion,
and erase my paged identity.
I can't hide the truth,
under my clothes is much more then skin and bones,
Starve me.
After I'm beautiful and standing in my new formed feet,
I wonder if I can walk.

Lots of thoughts came to mind while reading your poem. You know when I was a teenager I struggled with my identity, my looks, my eyes--just about everything. It was a tough time and in the end I accepted myself as I am. Your poem really touched my heart. Believe in yourself....Kie |
