She puts on her makeup and fakes a smile
Hiding her broken heart behind her pride
Hoping that these feelings will fade in a while
But she knows she’s lost and broken inside
He sits with his head buried in his hands
The drops of rain intertwine with his tears
Losing the only one thatcould understand
And watching his only hope disappear
The frailty of first love’s conclusion
How it feels to kindle loves dying flame
Left with heartache, sorrow and confusion
Living a lie that can never be the same
Time will mend shattered dreams and broken hearts
But nothing can hide first loves deepest scars
