Is It Too Late To Thank Him?

I guess it never sunk it.
I knew you left;
I knew you’d change;
But it never sunk in.
I should’ve known…
I guess I tried to keep everything the same;
But my hopes didn’t stand a chance.

People are never fair;
Endings never end happy;
That’s life.
As much as it sucks,
I need to learn to accept it

I had hoped we’d always be together;
But how can I change this,
When I can’t even stop change?

I saw you come;
I saw you leave;
I saw you changed;
And I never got it.
It never sunk in.
Till now, at least.

I can only hope you miss us,
But I question if it’s sunk in.
I certainly feel uncertainty.

I doubt we’re even there to you.
Hopefully, it will sink in,
That we’re always here;
No matter what crap you pull.

Why do you want to thank him? I know how you feel, but we never have the chance to change the facts. I am so sorry for you, try to forget.
