The parts fit together,
As the picture appeared.
When the work was completed,
It was just as I feared
The empty corner
Of my work of art,
Left me alone
Craving the part
The one that would finish
My jigsaw dream,
Was somehow missing.
How sad it did seem.
As I was building,
I felt you were gone.
But now that I'm through
I'll never be done

Adam,
I really enjoyed reading this poem. The last line is very powerful. Life itself is a work of art, composed of different people and experiences. I hope you continue to write more poems and post them for people to read. |
