I was once that little girl, who sat upon your knee,
At the sweet tender age of two or three.
You hugged me tight as you pulled me near,
And whispered sweet things in my ear.
Oh, I remember wanting to be just like you,
I prayed every night for it to come true.
What a loving role model you made for me,
That's why we're so close, I believe it to be.
Years have gone by, and that little girl has grown,
But I still get excited every time you come home.
I may be too big to sit upon your knee,
But those memories will always live inside of me.
