We Live In The Fade

Contributed by Exodus-On-Life on Tuesday, 16th March 2004 @ 01:54:09 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Time is passes
Fades as we watch our steps
The pain we all keep inside
Is something that should never be kept

Sand falls faster
Hourglass tips and crashes to the floor
Crying endlessly
Weeping behind a locked door

Lie awake
And our dreams may not come
Keep wishing forever then
Let the fortune tellers will be done

See through the motives
Captured unto thoughtless past
Smile on forever, darling
For joy in this life never lasts

Feed the sorrow with darkness
You can't undo our will
Hide, head hang low in the shadows
Feelings overcome even still

Smoke unto ashes
The drugs that cure our stain
Water spills onto concrete
And blood filters pain

Quoting love stories
Make anger shed to fear
Feeling suffocated always
Yet, lonely nothing near

Head down the dead end street
The story will live forever
Chains hold me from bliss tonight
And I can't get my thoughts together

Burn me away at the twilight
Moon shining on my back
The wings on my feet have broken
Enough to make our minds attack

All those times that I've cried
All the anger I held for you
I'm so sick and tired of waiting
And I'll walk away like I always do
