I wish I could be
The perfect version of me
This untrue to my heart image
Based on what I see
But I can't help the way I feel
I'm tired of being real
I want to be like her

Just for a day, just for a moment
I wish life would be how I want it
If I could just wake up
And give up
All I hold onto
And hide behind
I'm tired of myself

If I could have her mind
But keep my heart
So I would know how it is
When I can say whatever
And do what I will never
I just want to be somebody else
for awhile
Every time I'm lost in my identity

Great write.
