Ok, we all have them
Good, bad, or indifferent
Who's to say I'm right, you're wrong
Who gets to decide
Some have very strong feelings
About theirs
I do not lie
And try to force it upon me and you
When there's nothing further from our minds
I have my own opinions
About things I dwell upon
You could have a completely different view
For that's what makes us who we are
How boring to be the same
Think, do and say
I won't force my issues down your throat
I expect the same courtesy
We can chat, discuss, agree to disagree
But what's the point in attack?
Doesn't really get you anywhere
And I won't change my views, you won't change yours
So lets have a bit of peace now
Lets all respect each others opinions
That's what makes us unique
I don't want to be you
You don't want to be me
Don't blame you really!

How true, too true...we live in diverse situations with more diverse views. Respect of each other is perhaps the wisdom herein. I am reminded of a game I played once with friends in a training...called 'my point of view and your point of view'. Basically a game of trying to accept the others opinion without beating them into a pulp...he he he...nice and honest work here. But I guess these are just my opinions.... |
