Whatever is wrong with me scares me a lot,
Perhaps you can mend me, perhaps you cannot.
Give me my drugs and test all my blood,
Make me a prognosis, clear as mud.
Come on your rounds and tell me to rest,
Trust the surgeons that they do know best.
Whatever you do remember that I,
Sometimes fall asleep when I cry.
I am used to life without illness or threat,
I am so not resigned to be victimized yet.
I’m still all alone when you close the door,
Then I feel all diseased without any cure.
Understand me from my side of the fence,
Understand me and the reason I’m tense.
My life is on hold when I’m in your hands,
So I need to know someone really understands.
Life is a lottery so much is fate,
Haven’t understood its meaning of late,
But when I get better I will have demands,
The sick need more than healing hands.
It is when I am low and am seeking medical mends,
It is then when I need understanding and friends.

| What a touching piece. You sound really depressed. A good poem but a pathetic poem, I wish that your BILL's will become less and that your health will improve with the best regards from bernard. |
