Grubby little hands
Chubby little face
Living his life in wonder
To a bug he often gives chase
Silky blonde hair
Sweet brown eyes
If he falls and skins his knee
To my arms he runs and cries
His arms are strong for a 3 year old
His legs are long and lean
I watch him while he's sleeping
So innocent, so serene
Stubborn as a mule
I've met my match there
This strong willed little boy
With the complexion oh so fair
I watch his chest rising as he sleeps
His toes wiggle in the night
Nothing but the best is what I wish for him
I pray for this with all my might
This boy can melt my heart
With just a flutter of his lash
If he finds something humorous
Those brown eyes will dance and flash
He's full of personality
This itsy bitsy guy
To him I will give my all
Of this I can't deny
He owns my heart completely
This complex little man
I envy him his freedom
I remain his biggest fan.
