It's all an act that's being put on
And it doesn't seem to fade away
Eventually I hope it will be gone
Until then, I don't see another way

To end this conflict goin on inside
And restore the balance to my soul
To turn the darkness into light
How long it will take, I just don't know

Dangerous things are flashing through my brain
I may do them, though I know they're not right
It seems like I'm drowning in the pounding rain
All throughout the lonely night

I wish someone could save me from my despair
But I fear that no one will be there
