Blessed be this crimson night
Where fire and ice collide into light
No secrets here, just a weary soul
I have lived and I will die tonight
Inside myself, where the blade sings.
"I know you're hurting and I hate what you've become. But as long as you insist on being lost, I can't help you."
Falling fast, light, high on air
Cue the melancholy music for my goodbye
My wings have ceased to protect me
I will fall, and I will burn and I
will touch the grouns in ashes.
"I have come to love your brokenness but not your absence, and I am still divided on whether to kill you or to embrace you..."
Raining down the silver spell of moonlight
Silence brings a sense of safety
I'm tired of being where I do not belong
The next journey is mine, to join my kindred...
...all is safe.
All is well.
I'm going now...
All is well.
"I would have died for you but time froze and I slipped. And that, that is what kills me."

I didn't think that you are strange even a bit. It is just that sometimes we feel strange feelings and I guess this is the way we should express them. Well Done. |

And you know how to paint with words that are stronger than colors. Quite an achievement! This poem cuts like a razor blade!

I don't generally read dark poetry because basically I don't understand how life can be so dark, but I can say to you, my friend, that I am glad that you use words to to express your inner feelings because to actually do harm to yourself or extinguish your life light would be a terrible waste of a great poet and I am sure a deep caring person.
Rainbows to you,
Rita |
