Foot in Mouth

Contributed by twinkletoes on Monday, 15th March 2004 @ 12:08:59 AM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

I have read the papers and seen it on the news
The whole Pommy nation has fallen in the blues!
They’ve spent a billion big ones to try and stop the spread
Of a terrible disease, the Foot in Mouth dread.

If they’d of asked us Aussies we’d have given it to them straight
But they would not have listened for this truth they have much hate.
Australia has been pestered for near on Hundred’s o’ years
From this deadly Pommy curse of thickness between the ears.

It has no regard for borders and this to you I’ll prove
That the disease Foot in Mouth is in Oz. and on the move.
There have been many outbreaks out across our sweet home ground
With Car and Property Salesmen and the Politicians that run around.

I have always taken precautions on leaving car yards and offices
To scrape my boots and remove the goo that comes out of their speaking orifices.
It might even be to late I could have it and don’t know it!
I guess my chances are high enough because I am a Poet.

I think it has spread worldwide. It is definitely in Washington, D.C. right now! I think it might thin out a little come November when all the campaigning is over. LOL. Not much though, I can guarantee that.

I'm sure Johnny will enjoy this one ... and yes, I would say twinkles, that the chances of you having foot in mouth are extremely high!
