I Love You is what you said.
I just stared you busted open my head!
My throat is slit my breaths are short.
If I live through this your going to court!
How can you love me, but hurt me this way?
Now I just pray, that I don’t die today.
I cannot see, for my eyes are swollen shut.
I don’t think I could count, how many times I’ve been cut.
Nothing could amount to how much pain I’m in.
Don’t you realize this is a sin?
I should have left you, right after the first slap.
You would pull out my hair so I started wearing a cap.
Hopefully no one had to go through as much pain as me.
I wish you would go away, please just let me be!

| Such a sad write but ppl need to be made aware of such a horrible thing, when it isnt happening to you it is too easy to turn your head. I know someone that is in an abusive relationship. When someone close to her recently told her that if she didnt leave him he would probably end up killing her AND her children, all she said was...Youre probably right. This is so sad and I am so thankful that I have never had to go through what she went through. Thanks for sharing this poem and helping to make more ppl aware that this is still going on even in "today's" world |
