Topic: oops

make you show your worth,
perform as best you can.
perfection to the utmost, all the right moves.
proving to yourself,
you still have it.
still capable.
being dazzled in the lights,
and no dark corners to hide in.
confrontation staring in your face,
waiting for that slip, that disfigurement,
so previously accepted.
why prove it.
why be reassured.
when youre still being awed at off stage?
