oops
|
eyes wide,
mouth dry
tensed from head to toe.
no idea what to say,
or why im standing here.
impulsive improvising eases the suspense
and i blag my way through the play
never born to act and yet,
i squeeze out of the situation.
back off from the stage, a sigh of relief in the dark.
no expectations haunt me here
and i remove the suffocating costume.
back in the box till next show.
im one person in another, a russian doll.
which would you prefer?

I like the way you described yourself as a russian doll - very original.
Intriguing poem.
Thanks for sharing. |
