The essence of drowning

Contributed by secretwind on Sunday, 14th March 2004 @ 09:40:46 AM in AEST
Topic: insomniac

life is a funny thing
sometimes you care sometimes you don't
time passes quickly
good things never last that long,
something always
always goes wrong
it is so very hard
to just relax and trust.

Adventures become memories
visions
without sound
silent movies
torturing your mind,
my damage is so
D
E
E
P
that i have forgotten why
why i cry
and stay awake all night.

Looking out the window
wondering
if i'll ever go outside again
do i need love
or do i just miss the lust,
i just wanna feel
without selling my soul
i don't know
maybe i think to much.......

i hear you and feel you..dont sell your soul to lust...because in trying to stop the lonely pain with it you also sell your love far far cheaper than its priceless worth. i feel every word that you have written.....so much that i used to value has been trivialised while i stand there as if on the sidelines and scream for it to stop. you arent alone...and you, me, and everyone else like us when combined, makes a love and a person worth living for.

thankyou. regardless the meaning of this to you i feel so much less alone now.

I've found the longer I go without sleep the more extreme my thoughts get and at times I battle insanity it seems. I also think too much! I liked this poem alot and if you need someone to talk to let me know. Kie
