Love In The Fire Of Darkness Part One (The Intro)

Contributed by Solmyr1404 on Sunday, 14th March 2004 @ 02:24:46 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

I sit here looking out the window.
What I'm looking for,
It's not here.
What is it I'm looking for anyway?
I don't know.
It's a bright day,
A blue, cloudless sky.
I see the people,
But, yet, I see through them.
It is as if they are nothing
But a figment of my imagination,
A hologram, if you will.
I look out across the field,
I see memories
Through the transparecies
Of the people in between,
Memories of past love,
Of when I played on it,
Both in football
And as a member of the band.
My sister walks by on her lunch.
Now, in a sense,
I'm looking for someone,
The girl I love but who hates me.
Now the people are crowding my view,
I wish they'd move.
I haven't seen her yet,
You must be wondering by now,
What's the point I'm trying to make?
I intend to tell a story,
And this is the lead-up.
Rather lame, isn't it?
You see,
I'm at school,
And establishing a setting,
Harmony Grove High School,
In Camden, Arkansas.
This is where the story begins...
