The Time Lasts Forever

I watch the phone,
Just waiting for it to ring,
But it remains silent.

I gaze,
Longingly at the clock,
But it seems to be running backwards.

I wait eagerly by the door,
Waiting for that friendly knock.
But there's no one on the other side.

There's no one because,
Time lasts forever,
Whenever your not here...
