Now I Know

Today I feel released,
Free from my chains riddled with grief,
Today I don't feel that pain,
I am no long burdened with fear,
Today I laughed,
Today I smiled,
Today it wasn't fake.
Before today I smiled an illusion,
I faked a laugh to please,
Before today I poured tears in secret,
I remained alone with my doubts,
Before today I was so insecure,
Before today I pleaded my end,
Before today I resented existance.
Before I knew you I was alone,
There was no one to care,
Before I knew you I doubted love,
Those words, to me, were never uttered,
Before I knew you no one listened,
Before I knew you no one understood,
Before I knew you no one made me smile,
Now I know you I understand,
Now I know you I resent my doubts,
Now I know you I can smile,
Now I know you I can love.

oh kay do you want to know my reaction when I was reading this poem? at the beginning I smile because of your smiles, happy that you finally break free your burden; yet when I reach the middle bit, my smile faded, replace by the sadness for I can relate to your pain and fears; then at the end of your poem, once again I smiled, glad that you find someone you can share your love with............................................I am still smiling..............best of my wish for you..........
