Daddy’s Pain

What’s a man to do?
When he feels lost
And he’s hurting too?
He tries to be so strong for you
In your time of need
But don’t forget he’s hurting too
Even if he doesn’t bleed
A man tries to be so strong
To keep his family from pain
He doesn’t talk about his feelings
He’s been taught that he is supposed to refrain.
He has questions that are unanswered
And wonders daily what went wrong
But rarely shows his emotions
He thinks he has to be strong
So if you’ve lost an angel child
Don’t forget you’re not alone
He suffers from this tragedy
He feels your pain, as well as his own.

Wonderfully touching piece. You are certainly right, so many people give sympathies to the wife in situations like that, yet husbands are just expected to absorb all the pain.
Well done |
